Professional Development

Florida Law S 1012.98(3)(a)-(j), F.S. defines by law what professional development is required of Districts to deliver.

Professional Learning by FL DOE is defined as continued growth for recertification. To maintain your school counselor certification, 120 hours acquired in five years is required. Participants should check with their school district’s certification or professional learning office to verify eligibility and procedures to earn points for FSCA Professional Learning programs you attend, including convention keynotes, breakout sessions, preconference session (if attended) and FSCA Continuous Learning sessions. 


CEUs

FSCA is a CEU approved provider for licensed Florida Board of Clinical Licensed Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Clinical Mental Health Providers.

FSCA will announce what programs offer CEUs and directions to record your CEUs.

This is a free service for FSCA members, and there is a $10 processing fee for non-members.
