COMMITTEES

FSCA member volunteers carry out the Association’s yearly goals. Committee service is July 1 to June 30.

ADVOCACY & GOVERNMENT RELATIONS

Advances the Florida school counseling profession locally and state-wide with the Florida Department of Education, other State agencies, State legislators and government, non-profit partners, stakeholders, and school districts through multiple methods.

The Emerging Leaders Program is a year-long program that facilitates leadership development of FSCA members. Applications are announced in late winter and selection to the program completed in the spring.

The Florida School Counselor Association (FSCA), founded in 1964, is THE voice of Florida school counselors. A chartered state division of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), FSCA offers comprehensive member services including, high-quality professional learning and valuable resources to support members in helping every student succeed in Florida. FSCA also engages in partnerships and advocacy to strengthen school counseling in the state.
